HTWF's globally addresses pressing temporal needs. That is, the most vulnerable need to be fed, clothed, sheltered and have access to clean water, clean sanitation and ultimately access to education and other personal and community improvement options. One of HTWF's affiliate charities is A Child's Hope Foundation (ACHF.org), a US charity that works with various orphanages around the world, and more particularly in Mexico. ACHF is a 501c3 status charity that has an established record of providing help to orphanages with very lean overheads. HTWF finds charities that are closely aligned with its mission and who have a history of ensuring charitable dollars are spent wisely. Add to this that Michael Jackson built a playground for 500 orphans in Romania in 1992 and put his name behind functions designed to help orphans such as the first Sports Festival "Hope" in 1996, and you can see why ACHF as a partner is a natural fit for HTWF. Orphanages abroad are underfunded at the best of times, as more "sexy" projects attract charitable dollars. Donate to us directly HERE Why A Child's Hope Foundation humanitarian relief? Consider those served. Add one layer of burden for anyone living in poverty, another layer of burden for children (mostly under six) living in poverty, and still another layer for children living in poverty without the nurture of parents. Orphans simply have it hard. That's a triple whammy and why we at Heal the World Foundation feel the need to support ACHF in their efforts. |
